Enough

The time has come and is now here that the sons of God stand up to the fullness of who we are in Christ. Long are the days that we’ve allowed the enemy to bully us and have his way in our lives. With our families, our health our wealth and all that we have.

I believe there needs to come a point in your life when enough has got to be enough. Where you can boldly say with fervency and fire “Get behind me Satan!! I’m not buying your bullshit anymore!”

Why have we allowed ourselves to be bullied for so long?

In one simple word.

Ignorance! The word of God says in Hosea 4:6

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you as My priests. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.”

What exactly is killing us?

Is it our lack of knowledge of God’s word?
Or our lack of knowledge of His principles and how they function?
Or our lack of knowledge of who we are in Christ?
It’s all of this and more.
But our biggest killer, as revealed by our God, is the “Traditions of man.”

The word tradition is defined as –

a long-established custom or belief that has been passed on from one generation to another.

The topic however, warrants a whole post in itself and I will be covering it in greater detail in the future.

Where do we begin our journey?

By first getting to know our God. And getting to know ourselves.

I would like to introduce you to the real you through this series. So by the end of it you will have gotten to know your heavenly father a whole lot better. And also gotten to know who you really are. What your father has freely given you. How things of the spirit work within the kingdom of God. And how to walk in the full measure of Christ. No hullabaloo. Just practical steps you can take to grow in the Lord. Mature. And be all that you were created to be. More than a conqueror!

It’s interesting to note what is written in the book of Daniel 11:32 “…but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”

The key word used here is “know”. Not think they know. Not church folk. Not bible believing goodie two shoes. Not Pastors or any of the other five fold ministries.

People. Who. KNOW.  For it’s one thing to believe. It’s something completely different to know.

We believe and know that You are the Holy One of God.

– John 6:69

Are great exploits happening today in the church?

Far from it! The spirit of religion, besides a whole lot of other spirits, has crept into the church and is causing us to be complacent. Where we’re happy just playing church.  Yet there is no difference from us and the world. The same diseases that are killing them, are killing us. The sickness that they suffer from, we suffer from. The same curses they seem to be under, we also find ourselves under. What then is the point of all this if they can’t see the God that we serve through His deliverance in our lives? Why is His glory not being displayed by his children?

We’ve surely come to the place Paul states in 2nd Timothy 3 “ Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof”.

We’ve become so focused on heaven and the eternal that we’re not impacting the earth as mandated by our King. Just waiting for the sweet by and by and chariots of fire to come carry us home today.

What’s even worse are the excuses we’re making to justify the powerless state we find ourselves in. We can only do this for so long before it becomes pathetic. Come on children of God! It’s about time we woke up to fulfil the will of our God! Don’t you think?

The enemies greatest weapon is to feed us lies and we’ve been lapping it up like poor sick pups. It’s no surprise that Jesus himself referred to the devil as “the father of lies”

44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

-John 8:44  New King James Version (NKJV)

We don’t practice living by our God’s principles that lead to life. We’re afraid to lay our hands on the sick in case they won’t be healed. We justify their being sick as some wrong they’ve done and in some way deserve to be punished. When we pray and they are not healed we chalk that up to a lack of faith on their part. We even justify death with the famous “the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away” from the book of Job. I know because I’ve been there. I was there. And the truth be told…It stinks! It wreaks of the bullshit that only the father of lies can sell. And we in our ignorance buy it wholeheartedly. Why? Because it’s normal. It is normal and should be normal… for the world. But, for citizens of the kingdom of God, heirs of salvation, co-heirs with Christ Jesus himself, sons of the most high God, how can this be our portion? It nullifies the finished work of the cross. And therefore is not our normal for it is not our portion.

Jesus himself said it in John 10:10

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Where? In heaven? NO! Right here! Right now! On this earth that he created for man.

“The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth He has given to mankind.”

-Psalm 115:16

So you and I need to be fed-up of being fed-up. We need to get up. We need to hold our heads up high. We need to march on boldly and fearlessly. We need to fight ferociously in the spirit. We need to take territory for the kingdom of God. We need to become! Everything the cross has afforded us to become! The victory is already ours. Let us walk in that victory for the glory of our King and the expansion of his kingdom.

For our first lesson I’d like you to read Luke 15:11-32. The famous parable of the prodigal son. I’ll be sharing on this next and intend to bring a few things to light that will bless you as it has me. We’ll look at the problems of the church today and the predicament we find ourselves in through the lens of this parable.

So stay tuned and be ready for your next level of glory as we study and grow together.

May the Spirit of Truth lead us to all truth.

Let him who has eyes to see, see what the Spirit of God is revealing in this day and age. And to him who has ears to hear, hear what the Spirit of God is saying.

Please Share this post to bless others.
